zimisis
is a voluntary
grouping of Librarians/Documentalists/ Information Specialists
and Institutions/Organizations using the UNESCO CDS/ISIS database
management system for library information services.
objectives:
- To facilitate the distribution and proper installation
of Micro-CDS/ISIS in Zimbabwe
|
- To promote wider usage of Micro-CDS/ISIS in Zimbabwe
by facilitating training workshops for users
|
- To provide a forum for discussion of ideas and
exchange of experience among Group members on Micro-CDS/ISIS
software
|
- To promote standardization in the development of
database structures in order to promote resource sharing
among users, e.g. by use of the Common Communication
Format standard
