Documentation Centre

The UNESCO-Harare Documentation Centre is a specialised resource centre primarily created to provide information concerning UNESCO's activities to researchers, scholars, professionals and other related institutions. In promoting the quest for knowledge and disseminating accurate information, the Centre also hopes to foster better understanding to members of the public of UNESCO's activities. The Documentation Centre has been computerised and houses more than 5800 materials, which include documents, monographs and reports. The Centre also subscribes to over 100 journals dealing with education, science, technology and culture. It also houses the Regional HIV/AIDS/Life Skills and Drugs Education Database. Participation in exhibitions such as the annual Zimbabwe International Book Fair (ZIBF) exposes the centre’s publications to the public.
