This document outlines a regional programme of action for mitigating HIV/AIDS in the education and training sector as developed by the HRD Sector Task Force on HIV/AIDS. It first discusses the effect of the disease on the education and training sector, highlighting efforts undertaken by some member States and identifies priority issues for regional focus. It then outlines the objectives, strategies and activities, strategies and activities to be undertaken to deal with HIV/AIDS within this sector.
