This interagency meeting aimed to discuss tackling the problem of collaboration with three distinct objectives: to describe the current global situation, to define common goals and to explore next steps. Those working in the field would present a common agenda to leaders and policy makers around the world at the XIIIth International AIDS Conference ( Durban, July 9-14, 2000 ) and continuing through a mediation and liaison framework to be developed over the coming few months.
