As part of the UNAIDS Best Practice Collection, this toolkit is designed to support analysts and decision-makers working on Poverty Reduction Strategy Papers (PRSPs) to maintain stream HIV/AIDS as an issue central to poverty reduction and to mobilise resources for a cross sectoral approach. Argues that debt relief not only provides the possibility of having fresh resources injected in the fight against HIV, but that it gives the opportunity to place HIV/AIDS at the centre of the development and aid agenda. The toolkit details four main components that should be included in the PRSPs and offers concrete suggestions for how to place HIV/AIDS at the centre of poverty reduction plan. Appendices include specific examples of possible indicators.
